DYNATEC - reedition

PUB DYNATEC - 1984
The DYNATEC shoes are available on www.ShopLeCoq.com, the online Le Coq Sportif’s boutique.
During the last two decades it has been practically impossible to lay hands on a pair of running shoes that were one of Le Coq Sportif’s greatests hits during the 80’s.
In order to satisfy the growing demand of fans of the sneaker culture, the new team at Le Coq Sportf has decided to launch a programme to celebrate the thirty glorious years (1960’S, 1970’s & 1980’s) of the brand. A series of re-editions of authentic models of the star products of the label’s history - not only for the pleasure of sneakers
addicts but also for new fans.
First on the starting blocks is the revolutionary emblematic running shoe of the brand at this epoch: the Dynatec.
The Dynatec first saw the light in 1982. It was launched as an answer to the increasingly technological requirement of runners. Many of the aspects of this model were revolutionary: the visible exterior arch support, the ankle reinforcement, the low laces that start almost from the tip of the toes and its light weight - all contributing to both a maximum of comfort and support.
These exclusive innovations, at the time, and its avant-garde look all contibuted in making the Dynatec a timeless classic.

Well, you know, one more year, how’s that cause for celebration?
For their fifth anniversary, Institubes decided to call it a day, to burn down the house, to pack everything in a neat bundle of sorrow and joy and bury it six feet deep. They decided to cut to the grave. They have had plenty of grrreat times together but constant elation and unbridled tomfoolery can last only so long. Let’s have a mournful party. Let’s move from Mardi Gras to Ash Wednesday. It’s the most beautiful day of Carnival. Black and white from head to toe, forlorn-looking girls smiling shyly through streaming mascara, boys emboldened by the proximity of death. Impending doom makes love urgent. Everything that must happen happens. On Friday, March 14th, we’re drawing our last breath. Be there to die with us and be reborn in glory.
